Tool for Automatic Testing of Products SITOP PSU8600 and SITOP UPS1600

This bachelor's thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of an automated test system. The testing is targeted on devices that support industrial communication standard Profinet. The system contains environment for simulation of industrial network traffic and tool that serves to test of Profinet application. Tested products are SITOP PSU8600 and SITOP UPS1600. The reader is introduced to basics of software testing and Profinet technology. The knowledge gathered is used in design and implementation of the system. The main goal of thesis is to make testing of the mentioned devices easier and faster.
DNS Resolver Testing

Tento dokument popisuje automatizaci tvorby scénářů pro nástroj Deckard, který slouží na testování rekurzivních resolverů. Tyto scénáře jsou založeny na skutečném provozu mezi prohlížečem a webovou stránkou zachyceném při načítání této stránky. Výsledný scénář je doplněn i o dotazy, které v zachyceném provoz nebyly, ale na které by se resolver mohl ptát například při minimalizaci dotazu. Na rozdíl od živého provozu by použití scénářů mělo zajistit deterministické prostředí pro testování. Reálný provoz není pro testování ideální kvůli například rotaci IP adres, rozdílnému obsahu serverů a úpravy obsahu. Scénář by měl obsahovat všechny odpovědi na dotazy, na které by se resolver mohl zeptat. S vygenerovanými scénáři můžeme porovnávat odpovědi různých implementací a verzí DNS resolveru. Můžeme tak odhalit změny v jejich chování.

Testsuite of Frontend of Installation Tool Anaconda

The aim of this work is to examine principles and tools for automated graphical user interface testing. One of this tools is chosen and modified for implementation of testsuite of Fedora Linux installation using Anaconda. Dynamic generation of test cases from smaller parts is also implemented.

Penetration Testing of an Open-Source Software

This thesis discusses the design and implementation of integrated penetration testing system. In the first two chapters, the reader is introduced to the topic of penetration testing. The basic techniques and classification of tests are described as well as some of the most widely used methodologies. It also discusses the need to automate the testing process. The fifth and sixth chapter discuss specification and detailed design of integrated penetration testing tool. Its implementation and the problems that had arisen during the process are the theme of chapter seven. The last part of the thesis describes practical experiments done with the tool and gives the reader some advice on securing computer networks.
Fuzz Testing of Applications Communicating via the OData Protocol

Delivering stable and reliable software to customers is difficult. Applications are prone to errors, regardless of the experience level of the developers. Automated testing methods and tools are heavily used in all phases of development life-cycle to reduce chances of bugs escaping to the users. The goal of this thesis is to design an intelligent and automated testing tool which is able to test business applications. A mishandled action performed within such an application may cause a failure with disastrous consequences. To simulate these actions, one can use testing where test cases contain invalid or random data. This testing technique is called fuzzing or fuzz testing, and it involves providing malformed or mutated data as an input to the program. The proposed tool, namely ODfuzz, is a fuzzing tool ready to test applications communicating via the OData protocol which is a protocol built on existing HTTP and REST methodologies. ODfuzz is generating and fuzzing requests that are to be sent to the server. The requests contain mutated data that pass through various code paths and may result into an application error. ODfuzz was used to test back-end modules of modern SAP applications written in the ABAP language.
A Tool for Automated Testing of GUI

Despite of GUI usability and availability is GUI testing quite new specialization technique. Manual testing is often used for verifying of GUI functionality. The aim of this work is to create a tool for testing and controling GUI. By tool is meant library for automated testing of GUI using object recognization method. Library detects basic GUI elements and controls them according to their standard behavior. Object detection depends on image processing and tracing graphic changes while mouse and key events are incoming.
Remote API Web Reference for Java Enterprise Applications

Tato diplomová práce popisuje testování REST API rozhraní aplikací. Výsledkem práce je aplikace Restty, založená na použití nástroje Swagger, která umožňuje testovat jednotlivé části API aplikací, i vytvářet a spouštět komplexní testovací scénáře nad daným rozhraním. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje principy webových služeb, vzdálených rozhraní a představuje nástroj Swagger i technologie použité k implementaci. V následující kapitole jsou v práci prezentovány designové návrhy aplikace, na které plynule navazuje kapitola o implementaci a testování, pro které je zvoleno rozhraní nástroje Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite. V závěru práce jsou vyhodnoceny přínosy aplikace Restty a navrženy případné budoucí rozšíření.
Checker of User Experience Guidelines

The aim of this work is to create a tool for automated checking the correct characteristics of the user interface. The thesis includes a list of rules from GNOME, KDE and OSX, which are suitable for automatic control. The tool verifies the background elements of the user interface while the user operates the program under test. The rules are ranked according to the severity and outcome of the program is also overall score. The final part contains testing of normally available programs. The application is appropriate for verifying a graphical user interface in development.
